Hi, I’m Sharon! I’m a clay artist, maker, and community-builder who believes creativity should be expressive, a little messy, and totally judgment-free. I started Sharon Hoppe Designs with a simple idea: to make clay feel more approachable, and way more fun, for everyone.

As someone who’s spent years in the mud (literally!), I know the struggle of trying to make consistent pottery, balance time for yourself, and keep the creative spark alive. That’s why I began creating whimsical tools, templates, and rolling forms that make hand-building easier, faster, and more exciting. From textured rolling pins to custom forms and laser-cut templates, every tool I design is made with heart and a whole lot of SSAS.

But more than tools, I wanted to build a home. A home where creativity meets community. Where potters of all levels could come together, laugh, share wins (and flops), and feel supported every step of the way. That’s how the Sassy Swoopers Art Society (SSAS) was born.

Who we are...

At Sharon Hoppe Designs, we believe clay should feel like freedom—not frustration.

We’re a creative clay company built by artists, for artists, offering whimsically designed textured rolling pins, tools, forms, templates, and texture boards to help potters of all experience levels create with confidence, joy, and ease.

Whether you’re new to clay or a seasoned hand-builder, our unique products are made to remove the guesswork and bring back the fun. We believe in big ideas, bold textures, messy hands, and that feeling when your slab turns into something you’re proud of.

But we’re more than a product shop. We’re a SSASy creative community.

Through workshops, products, and our signature Sassy Swoopers Art Society (SSAS) membership, we support clay artists who want to experiment, grow, and connect with others who speak fluent slab and SSAS. This is a place to play, laugh, learn, and get away from the daily grind, whether for 20 minutes or all afternoon.
